Beth Dotan, Director of the International Department of the Ghetto Fighters Museum in Israel, recently attended the Association of Holocaust Organization's 2012 conference in Austria.

The 2012 Yom HaShoah Commemoration events in Nebraska welcomed more than 2000 participants and attendees. The state commemoration in Lincoln welcomed UNL History Professor, Gerald Steinacher while child survivor of the Holocaust, Ruth Rosenfeld, shared her testimony in Omaha.

. Tuesday, March 6th, at the invitation of the Center for Faith Studies and the Institute for Holocaust Education, over 400 community members from Omaha and Lincoln packed Countryside Community Church to bear witness to the stories of Mr. Waisman, survivor of the Buchenwald concentration camp, and Dr. Bass, American serviceman and liberator of Buchenwald.

On June 17, 2010, Author Maria Krenz visited The Bookworm to share readings from her book "Made in Hungary."

On February 4, 2010, the IHE presented a lecture by Holocaust Survivor and Emmy Winner, Gerda Weissmann Klein, to 600 community members at Countryside Community Church. The following day, Ms. Klein spoke to 1,000 high school students at Westside High School.
